NGO Accreditation

Main Objectives of the Program

  1. Promote Humanitarian and Diplomatic Values: Support NGOs that adopt human rights principles, peace, and social justice in alignment with the organization's vision.

  2. Professionalism in International Diplomacy: Enhance the efficiency and professionalism of NGOs in diplomatic work, supporting human rights and developmental activities.

  3. Expand the International Cooperation Network: Build a strong network of accredited organizations to bolster collaborative efforts on issues like refugees, women’s rights, migrant support, and peacebuilding in conflict areas.

  4. Support Leadership Roles for Youth and Women: Emphasize empowering youth and women to actively participate in peace, diplomacy, and human rights.

Accreditation Program Phases

  1. Application

    • NGOs can express their interest in accreditation through an online application form, providing profiles on their goals and previous activities related to human rights, diplomacy, and peace.

    • NGOs must submit legal registration documents, transparent financial records, and evidence of activities aligning with the diplomatic organization’s objectives.

  2. Comprehensive Evaluation

    • The World Diplomacy Organization team conducts a thorough assessment, which may include site visits, to review evidence of the NGO’s activity in human rights, peace, and diplomacy.

    • Rigorous standards are applied, assessing the NGO’s commitment to human rights principles, professionalism, and adherence to transparency.

  3. Training and Professional Development

    • Workshops and training programs focus on project management, negotiation, international diplomacy, sustainable financing, human rights issues, and empowering women and youth in peacebuilding.

    • NGOs have access to courses on leadership development and strategic planning aligned with the diplomatic organization’s goals.

  4. Accreditation Issuance

    • A two-year accreditation certificate is awarded to NGOs that successfully pass the evaluation and training phases.

    • Accreditation grants access to participate in the organization’s activities, such as international conferences and specialized workshops on peace and human rights.

  5. Ongoing Development and Monitoring

    • Accredited NGOs are required to submit regular reports on their activities and to participate in evaluative events to maintain accreditation.

    • Accreditation renewal occurs every two years, subject to a comprehensive review of the NGO’s activities and compliance with specified standards.

Accreditation Criteria

  • Compliance with Local and International Laws: NGOs must be legally registered and adhere to international human rights principles.

  • Transparency and Accountability: NGOs must maintain transparent financial and administrative systems.

  • Commitment to Shared Goals: NGOs must support diplomacy, peace, human rights, and the empowerment of youth and women.

Benefits of Accreditation

  • Access to International Funding: Open doors to funding from international sources to support human rights and peace projects.

  • Capacity Building: Access to training and workshops to enhance efficiency and professionalism in diplomacy and human rights.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Join an extensive network of globally accredited NGOs.

  • Participation in International Events: Opportunity to engage in the diplomatic organization’s conferences and programs focused on peace and human rights.
